This depends on the quality of the local tap water.
If the water is hard, meaning it contains more minerals, we recommend using demineralization capsules or filtered water to reduce the formation of white dust (residue from water minerals left after misting).
Prolonged use of hard water may also cause the water pump to clog. That’s why this model is designed with a replaceable water pump(unlike other products that have a built-in pump), specifically for users in areas with hard water, to reduce maintenance costs.
